Recycle At Home

SIMPLE STEPS FOR BUSINESS'S

  • BUY RECYCLED PAPER PRODUCTS:  It takes less 70 to 90% less energy to make recycled paper and it prevents the loss of forests worldwide.
  • TELECOMMUTING:  If employees can occasionally work from home, that will reduce their commuting time, their spending on gasoline and parking, and their carbon emissions... and who wouldn't love working in their pajamas? If that's not feasible, how about encouraging carpooling or public transportation use?
  • USE ENERGY STAR'S ENERGY-EFFICIENT OFFICE PRODUCTS:  Look for the Energy Star label on new appliances to choose the most efficient models. Make sure you turn on the energy saving features.
  • CLEAN GREEN!  Use environmentally preferable cleaning supplies. See this link (http://www.epa.gov/oppt/epp/pubs/products/cleaner.htm) for a recommended list of products you can start using today.
  • PLAN ENVIRONMENTALLY AWARE EVENTS:  Imagine thiS... You arrive by public transportation, workshop materials are printed double-sided with soy- or vegetable-based inks, as a name tag, you wear your own business card inserted in a reusable name tag holder, which is collected as you leave, coffee is served in reusable mugs embossed with the workshop name and sponsors, etc.
