Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center
Shared by: Marianne R.
The Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center is named for legendary football coach Vince Lombardi. What began as a small clinic treating cancer patients has grown into a state-of-the-art cancer center housing more than 240,000 square feet of clinic and research space. As Lombardi has grown, its mission has remained constant-—to provide the most advanced treatments available, to train future cancer specialists, and to cure cancer in its many forms. They translate research findings into therapies that can one day be used to treat patients, a program of high-priority clinical trials, and a commitment to community service and outreach activities related to cancer prevention and control. They took great care of my mom, even though she was in the advanced stages of cancer by the time she got there. We will always be grateful for what they did and still do for so many. |
