Dell is dedicated to doing its part to help protect the environment. From the time we first design a product, until that product is ready to be recycled, we are setting high environmental standards for ourselves and partnering with our customers to help protect our shared Earth.
Design for the Environment: Our environmental design programs seek to eliminate the use of environmentally sensitive materials from our products, which keeps those substances out of our environment.
EnergySmart: We are working to design products that both deliver the performance our customers need while using less energy. Energy-efficient products help reduce emissions.
Dell Operations: Dell purchases a portion of our electricity needs from renewable sources to do our part to protect our climate. We're also using 50 percent recycled content paper in our marketing materials.
Dell Recycling: Dell is providing consumers around the globe free and easy recycling for used computers. And our recycling partners have to meet the most stringent environmental standards in our industry..
Our Suppliers: We work with our suppliers to help meet our environmental design standards and help them minimize their own climate impacts.
Our Shareholders: We report on our publicly set environmental goals annually, and offer all of our shareholders electronic delivery of materials which helps protect environmental resources.
Our Customers: We want to partner with customers to protect the environment together. One of the many ways customers can make a difference is by enrolling in our "Plant a Tree for Me" program which offsets the carbon impact of the operation of their computers.
